The Sail Chicago cancellation policy is as follows:
If you must cancel your course, Sail Chicago will make every attempt to fill your seat in the course. If you cancel:
- 7 days or more prior to your first class, we will issue a course fee refund less $50 admin fee
- Less than 7 days before your first class – no course fee refund if we are unable to find a substitute. If we do find a substitute, we will issue you a course fee refund less $50 admin fee.
Membership dues are non-refundable. Exceptional cases are left to the discretion of the Chairman of Sail Chicago.
Sail Chicago reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a course due to volunteer availability or severe weather conditions. Sail Chicago also reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment. If we cannot schedule you in another course to your liking, you will receive a full refund of the course fees.
To cancel your registration and initiate your refund, if any, contact us via email sail@sailchicago.org.
Makeup classes: If the instructor cancels a class due to weather or his / her illness, etc., Sail Chicago will schedule a makeup class. As an all-volunteer organization, Sail Chicago does not have the means to schedule a makeup if you miss a class due to illness, travel, vacation, work, etc. You may be able to make up the missed class at another time, at the instructor's discretion.
